Ko To Rākau Ko Tōku Rākau, Ka Mate Ai Te Hoariri: With Your Weapon And My Weapon, The Enemy Will Be Vanquished

This modern Tukutuku panel reflects the whakatauki Ko To Rākau Ko Tōku Rākau, Ka Mate Ai Te Hoariri. 

From the bottom up, the Red Kaokao and Niho Taniwha styled pattern depicts the allies marching forward.

Above, the white and gold individual niho taniwha depicts the Kiore / Scouts of each War Party moving forward to secure the open ground before the ranks move through.

The Tumatakahoki lining the sides, represent the pounamu tipped weapons used by each party.
