Whitinga O Te Rā: The Sunrise

HANDCRAFTED TO ORDER

Each tukutuku panel is individually handcrafted by Toi Manawa Studios.

Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for production before dispatch. Delivery time is additional.

This modern Tukutuku panel reflects the journey of Tama Nui Te Rā, our sun, as it rises in the sky behind a mountain, depicted in this piece with the Poutama pattern in black and white.

The painted black and red background symbolises the transition from Te Pō, the realm of Night to Te Ao Mārama, the World of Light, the red represents the first glow of dawn as Tama Nui Te Rā rises beyond the maunga.
